Our History

Founding Hannah Solar: “Four simple words… The Future of Energy… were ringing in my head from having just read Travis Bradford’s Solar Revolution: The Economic Transformation of the Global Energy Industry (The MIT Press, 2006).”

“Upon approach into the Atlanta airport, I looked out my window to see building, after building, after building with rooftops and not even a single photovoltaic panel atop them. I decided right then and there to create a paradigm change in the energy landscape here in the Southeast. To that end, Hannah Solar, named after my daughter, was born in 2009, to become one of the largest, privately held solar companies in Atlanta – serving the Southeast and beyond. Today, there are far more buildings and homes with solar on the rooftops, but our tireless work of one day having them all solarized, continues. To use the words of author Bradford, “Access to cheap, clean, modern energy will spread around the world to become as universal a possession as sunshine itself.”
