About the Role:
The DG Estimator is responsible for delivering an amazing customer experience, both internally and externally, while exceeding performance targets. The DG Estimator supports the DG Branch Manager. They will be responsible for creating and processing quotes, material procurement for local warehouse, tracking material RMA’s. They will be responsible for ensuring material is ordered and on hand to ensure we can meet our planned target dates.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering/Project Managment/Estimating/Logistics
- 5 years previous experience in solar estimating
- Spanish speaking
Skills Needed:
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Minimum of 1-2 years Solar/Energy/Utilities Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advance knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Windows
- Proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proven experience prioritizing tasks in order to meet tight deadlines within a high paced environment
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently to proactively resolve problems and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work outside of standard business hours including weekends and evening hours to meet the needs of our customers
- Stock material procurement for local warehouses
- Stock purchase procurement for specific jobs (special orders)
- Creating and updating PR’s in Salesforce Manage inventory to ensure warehouse is adequately stocked Ensure material is readily accessible to service technicians for job completion RMA Return queue Create Return labels to process returns Coordinate with warehouse to ensure returns are completed Coordinate with clients to ensure returns are received
- Experience with project management software such as Procore or Primavera
- Professional certification such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
Responsibilities:
- Processing quote requests & creating service work orders
- Stock material procurement for local warehouses
- Stock purchase procurement for specific jobs (special orders)
- Creating and updating PR’s in Salesforce Manage inventory to ensure warehouse is adequately stocked
- Ensure material is readily accessible to service technicians for job completion
- RMA Return queue
- Create Return labels to process returns
- Coordinate with warehouse to ensure returns are completed
- Coordinate with clients to ensure returns are received
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and local warehouse staff to ensure that estimates are accurate, up to date & parts/supplies are shipped and received to keep scheduled service appointments
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to project teams
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates and related documentation & manage vendor and OEM relationships
