The Senior Credit Analyst Position
Sunnova Energy is searching for a Senior Credit Analyst for the Revenue Management department. The Credit Analyst is responsible for timely reporting, implementing and improving processes within the Credit, Billing, Payment Processing and Collections function. The Credit Analyst will also be accountable for helping develop new processes as new products are placed into market.
Senior Credit Analyst Responsibilities
·Gathers and reviews existing results in Collections, identifies trends and recommends Credit policy improvements to reduce bad debt expense and outstanding A/R on future acquisitions
·Develops a process for approving and declining small and medium commercial customers for solar financing
·Implements any associated technology dealing with new credit review processes
·Simplifies the billing procedures to facilitate fast and effective processing of bills; eliminates processes that lead to wastage of time and resources
·Eliminates processes that lead to wastage of time and resources and improve time and cost effectiveness of the system
·Creates requirement documents and test processes that are currently manual as they move to automated in the new customer service platform
·Develops and improves results of reports defined and monitored by Collections, Credit/Under-writing controls, and automated credit decisioning within Salesforce
·Enhances and executes the weekly reporting suite for Revenue Management
·Analyzes the bad debt accounts and calculates the total loss suffered by the organization (in static pool format);
·Coordinates with third parties, such as collection agencies and banks; improves the current manual-coordination process with a more automated solution
·Assists management in achieving the internal Revenue and A/R targets on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
·Completes other necessary duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
·Extensive billing and collections research as required
·Experience maintaining and developing various credit and collections performance measurements (i.e. Static Pool performance and Roll Rate Performance)
·Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field
·5-7 years ‘credit/reporting/collections experience
·Advanced/expert skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred Qualifications
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and interpersonal skills
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
·Ability to meet and achieve core credit and under-writing KPIs
·Detail-oriented, adhere to deadlines
·Experience maintaining and developing various credit and collections performance measurements (i.e., Static Pool performance and Roll Rate Performance)
·Experience delivering financial and/or operational reports and results, weekly and monthly
·Experience writing and developing requirements for IT to automate existing reports and functions, able to manage through the project lifecycle
