Summary of Role
NovaSource is seeking full-time or part-time Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Interns to join our team and support the optimization of solar PV power plant performance. This internship provides hands-on experience in system performance analysis, technical troubleshooting, and plant improvement initiatives. Interns will work alongside experienced engineering professionals, gaining practical exposure to the renewable energy industry in a rapidly growing field.
This opportunity is open to students currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering degree program in Electrical Power & Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Software Engineering.
The 10-week summer internship program runs from May to August, offering a structured learning experience that prepares students for future careers in renewable energy. Interns who successfully complete the program may be considered for full-time engineering positions at NovaSource.

Key Responsibilities
· Monitor and analyze performance data of solar PV systems.
· Support root cause analysis of system issues, such as inverter failures or relay misoperations.
· Collaborate with engineering and field teams to diagnose and resolve technical challenges.
· Develop and refine data validation and reporting tools.
· Research and implement performance improvement solutions.
· Contribute to the development of computational models for performance evaluation.
Qualifications
· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
· Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer of 2025 (May- August)
· Basic knowledge of PV system components and performance analysis.
· Familiarity with data analysis tools (Python, MATLAB, or similar).
· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
· Ability to work onsite at our Chandler, AZ office
