Position Title:Payroll Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee our payroll administration for U.S. and Canada. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday payroll and ADP Smart Compliance. This role requires strong attention to detail, compliance expertise, and the ability to support our employees effectively.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, province and local regulations.
- Review and approve Canada and U.S. payroll registers for semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll cycles.
- Manage 401k audits and worker’s comp audits.
- Manage Leave of Absences.
- Produce budget reports for the finance department.
- Review benefits invoices and approve for payment.
- Lead and oversee the implementation and ongoing management of Workday Payroll, optimizing system functionality to streamline payroll processes.
- Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate payroll records, reconciliations, and audits.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on payroll and benefits inquiries, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Stay updated on payroll legislation to ensure compliance and recommend changes as necessary.
- Develop and maintain payroll reports, metrics, and dashboards for leadership review.
- Supervise the payroll team and delivery necessary trainings.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, finance, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in payroll administration, with specific experience in Workday Payroll implementation.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or related certification.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced or startup environment.
