Job Summary:
What part will you play?
The GAF Energy Manufacturing organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Data Integration Engineer who will be the subject matter expert of all things related to the collection, validation, and distribution of MES information.
You will be responsible for the setup and continuous improvement of the MES system for the new solar module manufacturing lines being brought up in the factory.
You will create a digital twin of current manufacturing systems using state-of-the-art digital tools.
The ideal candidate will have a talent for driving results and thrive in the space between startup and explosive growth.
This role will report to the Director of Automation.
What will you do?
Be the subject matter expert on all factory data.
You will work with IT specialists and controls engineers to collect relevant manufacturing data, make those data fit for purpose, and integrate that data into our MES, SCADA, and cloud storage.
Validate data fidelity for all new systems brought online.
Perform root cause analysis of any data gaps.
Develop dashboards and data visualizations to empower front-line manufacturing engineers/technicians/operators using best available software tools (Tableau, Looker, JMP, Excel, etc).
Set up SCADA data for predictive analytics (maintenance, process health, etc).
Build collaborative and effective working relationships with factory leadership, Supply Chain, R&D, and Finance organizations to deliver accurate reporting and necessary business intelligence.
Foster an environment which looks for opportunities to improve business processes such that they truly add value.
What do we require from you?
B.S. in a technical field (Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent).
Minimum 1 year work experience supporting manufacturing line and/or factory bring-up for a discrete production process involving electronic components and subassemblies.
Experience in personally delivering large-scale and highly complex initiatives under pressure.
Comfort with navigation across diverse opinions to drive towards consensus.
Skilled in managing at both detailed and strategic levels.
Ability to take ambiguity in problem definition and drive towards clarity.
Resiliency and ability to adapt to a fast pace, often with dynamic priorities.
