About This Position
Reporting to the Manager, Treasury & Capital Markets, the Treasury Intern will play a key role in supporting Intersect Power’s treasury operations. This includes actively managing cash, short-term cash forecasting and Treasury reporting requirements, and managing interest rate risks.

Responsibilities and Duties- Prepare drawdown, rollover, and repayment notices for the syndicated credit facility and term loans, ensuring timely execution and compliance with lender requirements.
- Support in setting up Corporate and project payments and account fund transfers for liquidity planning. Oversee and monitor the cash transaction process, including maintaining effective controls over banking transactions and systems.
- Support cash forecasting processes, perform variance analysis, and strive to improve forecasting compliance and accuracy.
- Working cross functionally across departments including FP&A, Accounting and AP on different initiatives.
- Generate ad-hoc analyses, reports, and insights for senior leadership. Explore new technologies and reporting tools to improve Treasury operations.
- Assist in developing an interest rate hedging policy, including analyzing market conditions, SOFR sensitivity, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Support the documentation of hedging objectives, compliance considerations, and execution processes.
- Support the setup and implementation of a corporate credit card program, including policy development, vendor coordination, and reconciliation processes.
- Assist in tracking expenses and integrating the program with financial reporting systems.
Qualifications and Skills- Preferably at least one year of experience in treasury operations
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance
- Demonstrated interest in finance, accounting, treasury, or related topics
- Experience with payments and treasury management systems preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently, utilize resources effectively, and proactively achieve resultsExcellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative attitude
- Proficiency with Google Sheets functions/macros or Excel VBA for automation
- Experience with payments, treasury management systems (TMS), and banking platforms (preferred)
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English

Compensation
- $20 USD per hour. If working in Canada: conversion rate to CAD run at time-of-hire.
