Lumina is looking for an Electrician to join our Residential team in Pennsylvania.
The Electrician will support the lead electrician and install teams in the installation of residential solar PV systems, battery storage, and EV chargers.
In this role, you'll get to:
Assist in running conduit, pulling wire, and preparing electrical components for solar PV systems and battery storage
Support the installation of main service panels, subpanels, junction boxes, disconnects, and inverters
Help install and wire monitoring devices, load centers, combiner boxes, and EV chargers
Assist in tying solar systems into the home’s electrical service according to code and utility requirements
Perform basic system commissioning and assist in voltage testing, continuity checks, and troubleshooting
Ensure all electrical components are installed neatly, securely, and weather-sealed
Load and transport materials to and from the warehouse and job sites, ensuring necessary equipment is available and organized
Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized; assist with staging materials and preparing work areas
Communicate clearly with the install team and report job progress or issues to supervisors
Perform other duties as assigned to support the electrical and installation teams
Keep company vehicles well-maintained, fully stocked, and properly serviced
Follow all safety regulations and policies to ensure a safe working environment
Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall project success
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
Strong residential electrical experience or training
Solar experience is preferred
Proficiency in safely handling power and hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and wiring
Working knowledge of electrical systems (AC and DC), including wiring, assembly, and basic troubleshooting
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Ability to identify and resolve basic electrical issues in the field
Capability to climb ladders, work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions, and stand for extended periods
Comfort working in attics and confined spaces
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly
Proficiency with smartphones and tablets for communication, documentation, and use of job-related applications
A strong record of reliable attendance and punctuality
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards on every job
Position requires passing a drug screening and background check
A valid driver’s license is required for all positions at Lumina
