Manufacturing Engineer - Crossett, AR
POSITION SUMMARY:
This dynamic role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing procedures for manufacturing processes. This role encompasses troubleshooting issues such as tool-down problems, yield issues, and quality concerns, with a focus on identifying preventive actions for recurring issues. Additionally, the role includes the identification and implementation of system enhancements aimed at advancing throughput, yield, and overall product performance goals. Additionally, this role requires collaboration across multiple departments to ensure seamless integration of solar manufacturing processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Study and analyze requirements for solar production processes, designing efficient operations and equipment to meet these requirements.
- Develop and implement automated systems tailored to solar product outputs, focusing on optimizing facility layouts and production lines.
- Conduct testing of new and existing production procedures, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all quality control checks and gates.
- Communicate effectively with vendors in the event of defects or rejects.
- Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency throughout solar manufacturing facilities.
- Utilize computer software for modeling, drawing, and concept development related to solar technologies.
- Demonstrate expertise in tool design and fabrication methods specific to solar manufacturing.
- Manage projects, ensuring commitment to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Exhibit attention to detail and inventiveness in solving manufacturing challenges.
- Create product testing requirements for pre-delivery and post-delivery quality assurance and commissioning.
- Data Analysis
- Process capabilities: Stability, Specification Limits, and Natural Variation such as Quality Control, Process improvement, and Decision making.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborate with other engineers to enhance overall manufacturing capabilities.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs and maximize quality in solar manufacturing.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput and profitability.
- Create and update work instruction.
- Create and implement continual improvement plans.
- Assist Design team with Research and development.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar preferred.
- Engineering experience in Manufacturing preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor preferred.
- Preference given for experience in Solar, Renewable Energy or Power
- Prior experience with take-offs &
- Knowledge of technological advancements in electrical systems and
- Understanding of metrology measurement best practices

- Competitive salary range of $65k - $85k annually, based on experience and qualifications.
