Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Junior Solar Installer to join our solar installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to start or grow a career in renewable energy. As a Junior Installer, you’ll work alongside experienced solar professionals to help build clean, efficient solar systems that power homes and communities. You’ll gain hands-on training, learn safe and efficient installation practices, and play an essential role in delivering high-quality solar projects that make a real environmental impact.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the installation team with assembling, mounting, and wiring residential solar systems on rooftops and ground mounts.
- Prepare and maintain the job site by setting up safety barriers, staging materials, and ensuring tools and equipment are organized and ready for use.
- Support senior installers and electricians in layout, panel placement, racking setup, and conduit runs.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Help with site cleanup and material handling to ensure smooth project flow and completion.
- Learn to read basic construction plans and blueprints to understand system layouts and job requirements.
- Take direction from lead installers and foremen and work collaboratively to complete projects on time.
- Develop technical knowledge of solar components, electrical basics, and installation best practices.
What You Bring
- 0–2 years of construction, roofing, electrical, or solar experience (training provided for motivated learners).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand and power tools.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on rooftops daily.
- Dependable work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders or work at heights as required.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 10 certification a plus (company can provide training).
