Job Description:
The Site Auditor & Inspection Technician will perform professional site auditing and City/County inspections to obtain and communicate the necessary technical data to the Westhaven project management team.
Presite Auditor & Inspection Technician – What you will do:
- Travel to project sites to obtain information necessary to complete technical design documents for a solar system
- Create detailed rooftop map layout for solar arrays including roof layout dimensions and all roof penetrations (pipes, vents, etc.)
- Collect detailed shading data using a Solmetric Sun Eye
- Develop a positive relationship with customers to establish rapport and to gather facilities assessment data as needed
- Prepare & upload site audit documents as needed to coordinate with the design/engineering department
- Electronically provide detailed photos and documentation during site audits with company provided phone
- Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
- Examine the wiring of the solar PV system as well as the electrical system
- Confirm that the PV system is code compliant and will work properly with the electrical system
- Inspect PV systems to ensure they are safe and ready for use
- Meet with building inspectors at solar job sites to ensure safe working conditions, correct materials, and eventual structural integrity
Presite Auditor & Inspection Technician – What you will need:
- 2+ years of solar/electrical experience
- Professional workmanship and strong work ethic
- Self-driven, self-motivated and makes responsible decisions
- Must be physically able to work on roofs and in attics, as well as lift 50+ pounds
- Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record
