DC Solar Electric Inc, a Division of the Stevens Family Companies, has an opportunity for a Commercial Energy Sales Director. This position will offer you an exciting opportunity to help provide a clean, safe, and reliable source of Electric Power to light, cool/heat homes and schools, run factories, and provide goods and services that we all depend upon.
The Commercial Energy Sales Director will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, and delivering on required targets as well as working cross-functionally with other departments. The Commercial Energy Sales Director will design plans to meet and exceed current sales targets while maintaining a focus on growth. This position will monitor critical business KPIs and implement new sales processes, technologies and change across the Sales organization.
Reporting to the President of Operations and Sales, with a dotted line to the President of Construction, this role will have executive visibility with recurring meetings, presentations, and analyses. A significant amount of client interaction and a high degree of professionalism is required.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience; ideally 7+ years of successfully managing high-performing sales teams
- Experience growing successful technically inclined sales teams, particularly in the solar, energy or storage field
- Experience selling high-value items through a consultative process
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong background in sales training, is analytical, data-driven, and detail oriented
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Dynamic leader and effective team player with exceptional communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of commercial solar and energy storage sales
- Hire, train, inspire and manage a team of high-performing solar consultants
- Maintain strong focus on overall customer experience and customer referrals
- Leverage data to improve sales strategies and measure success
- Work closely with key stakeholders to achieve overall company objectives
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape and market trends
- Promote the development and launch of new products and services being introduced to the industry
- Pursue business development opportunities to support sales growth, such as business partnerships and handling strategic customers
- Follow the company plan and strategy to accomplish area revenue targets
- Use a data-driven approach to optimize the sales organization, identify opportunities for improving sales conversion rates
- Assist President of Operations and Sales in managing KPIs, action plans and performance management
- Analyze performance data to identify gaps in sales funnel and drive new resources/process changes to ensure optimal sales performance
- Engage with Marketing team to optimize the existing lead/opportunities process
- Manage and oversee the Sales budget, forecast, performance goals, and estimated monthly/quarterly/yearly spend
- Knowledge of Salesforce, expert in reporting and analysis
- Assist Sales Team in prioritizing daily workload and participate in weekly team meetings
