About the role:
We are currently looking for a Manager/Director of Project development to join our Generation Asset Management team.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Manage development of greenfield and brownfield renewable and nonrenewable generation projects
- Evaluate business cases, estimate returns, budgets, cash flow
- Prepare presentations related to projects and development status
- Act as an agent of the company with counterparties, regulatory bodies, elected officials and others as necessary
Qualifications
We want you on our team because you…
- Hold a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Environmental Science or a related field
- Have 5/10+ years professional experience in the energy industry preferably in developing and constructing utility scale infrastructure projects over $10m
- Can effectively manage multiple assignments under time constraints
- Are solutions focused team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team
- Have excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Work independently with direction on a regular basis
- Have professional interest in energy technologies including fossil fuels, wind, solar, hydroelectric, and battery storage
- Have experience preparing, negotiating and closing commercial agreements including development agreements, real estate agreements, consulting and service agreement, interconnection and power sales agreements, etc.
- Have experience in the siting, permitting and interconnection of electric power projects
