We are seeking: Energetic, creative, and hardworking engineering students to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support product development and enhancement efforts, execute product development projects, and perform project design and applications engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Innovate, conceive, design, engineer, and develop new products and/or improve existing products
- Calculate and design for optimized cost.
- Bring ideas to life by creating and testing prototypes, iterating as required, to meet new product requirements
- Engineer products in accordance with appropriate regulatory requirements and standards, such as building and electrical codes, ASCE 7, aluminum or steel design manuals, ASTM standards, etc.
- Document product designs, engineering, test results and engineering changes in engineering reports
- Take ownership for assigned tasks. Complete tasks in a timely and organized manner. Facilitate your own learning. Ask questions when you are stuck. Integrate feedback from mentors
Qualifications
Work Experience & Requirements:
- Active enrollment in a degree program in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, product design or equivalent 4-year or post-graduate degree program
- Demonstrated passion for renewable energy
- Ability to understand, simplify, and communicate quantitative material
- Comfortable learning new tools
- Very motivated self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Solid grasp of engineering concepts & theory
