Salary range: The full salary range for this role is $102,500 to $171,000. The target range for this position is $124,000 to $147,500. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.
Summary:
This position is responsible for managing transaction work and overseeing analyses to build EDF Renewables Portfolio Strategy in North America. Duties also include managing investor relationships, marketing of assets, execution of transactions and as well as overseeing post-closing deliverables. In addition, this position oversees market and competitive analyses and makes recommendations on future portfolio strategy.
Responsibilities
Markets Development and Sale of Structured Assets (DSSA) projects
- Prepares transaction strategies, marketing materials, and conducts buyer outreach for EDF assets dispositioned for divestiture.
Transaction management: ensures the optimization of value creation and risk allocation on each transaction
- Analyzes bids from potential buyers, identifies key commercial issues influencing deal outcomes, assists in buyer selection, and provides recommendations to senior management.
- Drives negotiations, oversees diligence processes, closes on transactions, oversees post-closing deliverables, and conducts post-mortems.
- Coordinates cross-functional diligence efforts.
Identifies, hires, develops, and retains analysts on Divestiture & Portfolio Strategy team.
Investor Relations, Market Intelligence, Strategic Analysis
- Maintains existing relationships and develops new investor relationships, manages investor database, and meets with investors at trade shows and conferences.
- Monitors market trends, builds analyses and presentations, identifies and reviews potential acquisition and divestiture targets, and presents to senior executives.
Portfolio Management
- Conducts analyses and makes recommendations around optimizing the mix of assets sold or kept.
- Assists with development of forecasts and sales strategy alternatives.
- Works with Corporate Finance on metrics/goals, develops internal reporting materials and Capex tracking.

Working Conditions:
85% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 15% of time is spent outside of the office visiting investors, project sites or attending appropriate conferences and meetings.
Qualifications
- Requires Bachelors level degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s Degree in Business, Management or Finance, CPA, CFA preferred.
- 8 years of finance experience in the energy business.
- Requires strong Excel knowledge, heavy financial spreadsheet creation & financial modeling experience.
- Strategic consulting, investment banking, or project finance experience preferred.
- Deal experience including financial analysis and structuring of M&A opportunities.
- Project management experience.
- Strong understanding of the renewable energy industry in North America, including Tax Equity Financing, power markets.
- Strong relationships and networks within the energy community.
