Scope of Position
EDF Renewables North America is a market-leading independent power producer and service provider with over 35 years of experience. Under specific direction from the Regional Operations Manager, the Site Supervisor provides day to day supervision of the maintenance teams on the sites. The scope includes, but not limited to execution of all work activities, supervision of all employees at the site, reports, and other written and verbal communications between site and management teams, customers, vendors, etc.
Must have expereince working with Wind Turbines.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning and execution of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the renewable power plants, including the Balance of Plant (BOP)
- Perform daily, review of maintenance logs, work orders, timecards, service reports, and any other required paperwork or computer work for the specific project/assignment.
- Responsible for all QC activity in the business and performing QC Assessments of work by Technicians up-tower.
- Responsible for accurate inventory management & procurement activity.
- Responsible for performing safety walks while identifying hazards on site, including up tower visits. Participation in the tower rescue program, lead daily safety meetings, reviewing JHA & LOTO documentation for accuracy & completeness.
- Responsible for reviewing/approving/releasing work requests, including the TECO/COGI SAP transactions as necessary.
- Review maintenance protocols periodically for accuracy as well as identifying opportunities for optimization and/or improvement.
- Responsible for the development of the maintenance personnel through ongoing training, and mentoring.
- Other duties as assigned
Supervision of Others:
- This position will have at times 1-2 technicians as direct reports.
- During certain situations may have to oversee contractors and sub-contractors to support project needs.

Qualifications
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Experience working with current technology wind turbines preferred. 3-5 years’ experience working in the wind-energy industry.
- A minimum of 1-year current or previous experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
- Working knowledge of wind industry best practices, general maintenance standards, and a common understanding of condition-based monitoring systems.
- Ability to work well with subcontracted Construction personnel in resolution of issues identified in the field during that phase of a project.
- Basic understanding of power generation equipment and operational performance metrics.
- OSHA 10 training
- Knowledge of electrical code and OSHA regulations
- Ability to work independently
- Focused on efficiency and removing labor hours from tasks or projects
- Knowledgeable in all MS applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Willing to travel on short notice
- Able to provide proof of a current driver’s license and clean driving record, in order to operate company vehicles (field trucks) both on site as well as on public roads and highways.

- Able to work at heights, including climbing up and descending towers, entering nacelles and hubs at extreme heights.
- Able to work in a mechanical environment. This may have been achieved through formal training, previous work experience as an auto mechanic or the ability to demonstrate that an individual is mechanically inclined.
- Able to operate company vehicles (field trucks) both on site as well as on public roads and highways. Must have a current driver’s license with a good DMV printout.
- Demonstrate good work habits, including but not limited to attendance, and maintaining a neat and orderly work environment.
Due to weight restrictions associated with life-saving fall-arrest equipment employees are required to wear while working at heights, maximum employee weight must not exceed 280 lbs. Employee weight subject to review at any time throughout the duration of employment and required biannually.
Work Environment:
15% of time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. 85% of time is spent in the field working on wind turbine assets, in additional to attending various meetings. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat and safety glasses always. Repetitive use of legs, arms, hands and fingers. Able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, overtime and night shifts as required. 25% of travel may be required based on needs of company.
Fiscal Responsibilities:
Support site budget control by ensuring cost are within budget and repairs are made in a timely manner.

Pay Range: $72,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually
