Position Summary:

We’re Freedom Forever, a solar company known for innovation and quality, and we’re hiring someone who wants to build their career as a Solar Installer. As a member of our branch operations team, you'll be working with a crew that performs residential solar system installations for our customers.
Job Duties:
- Load and unload a company vehicle with project materials.
- Bring materials to and from the roof (or other structure) for installation.
- Assemble and install all solar roof components in an efficient and safe manner.
- Ensure all work is performed with quality workmanship and in compliance with Freedom Forever policies and applicable codes (EX: NFPA-70, IRC, IFC, CA-T24)
- Follow all Freedom Forever safety regulations and policies.
- Follow installation directions given by senior members of the crew.
Desired Qualifications:
- At least one year of solar install experience is preferred.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Experience and skills using power and hand tools.
- Experience installing electrical components is a plus.
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in confined areas.
- Provide quality customer service using written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliability. (Arrive on time and do your best work every day)
- Can work in various weather environments. (EX: sun, heat, cold, rain, crawl spaces)
- Must have a valid state driver's license with clean driving record.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Physical Demands and Abilities:
- Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
- Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
- Stand, walk, or run for long periods of time.
- Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles.
- Repeatedly kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, crawl, or reach out.
- See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
- See differences between colors, shades, and brightness,
- Determine the distance between objects.
- While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side.
- Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm.
- Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place.
- Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods of time.
- Keep or regain the body's balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
- React quickly using hands, fingers, or feet.
- Understand the speech of another person.
- Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
- Lift 50+ pounds
