Reporting to the Managers of Commercial Portfolio Execution, the Analyst will be part of a small but highly effective team that works across AES Clean Energy’s functional groups and development regions to (i) understand and track progress of AES Clean Energy’s multi-gigawatt project execution portfolio; (ii) communicate project status and advancement with AES Clean Energy’s offtake customers; (iii) manage compliance with commercial offtake contracts.
This role will provide the Analyst with a holistic view of renewable energy project development, project execution, and renewable energy commercial solutions. It will provide the analyst exposure to AES Clean Energy’s biggest clients and offer opportunities to communicate how AES Clean Energy is delivering industry-leading renewable energy solutions to decarbonize the power sector.
Participate in internal project calls, to understand project how projects are advancing through project development and execution, and tracking against the project schedule and budget toward completion.
Working cross-functionally with AES Clean Energy’s project development team, commercial team, project execution team, and financial modeling team to identify, understand, and concisely communicate project-related risks associated with late-stage renewable energy projects.
Track, manage, and communicate compliance obligations of revenue contracts (PPA, Capacity, REC agreements)
Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering; or equivalent experience.
Deeply inquisitive, possessing capable analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at systems-level thinking, and possessing a “Growth Mindset”.
Knowledge of US energy markets, and understanding of renewable generation technology including wind, solar, and battery storage.
Solid Microsoft Office 365 knowledge including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, etc.
