Pay range $28/hr. to $34/hr. (DOE) + Benefits
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Carpenter will report directly to the Production Manager and encompass a strong knowledge base for carpentry and general handyman skills. This position is responsible for completing customer service calls throughout their assigned region.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and isolate roof leaks
- Repair stucco, siding, drywall, and soffit damage
- Complete minor solar electrical work
- Perform rivet placards, dig trenches, repair roofs and/or ground mounts
- Notate any issues that require correcting and notify the Production Manager
- Service, add, or remove solar panel systems when necessary
- Review job site pictures and gather all necessary parts to ensure inspection successfully passes
- Perform onsite pre-inspection prior to the arrival of the inspector
- Open electrical panels and/or junction boxes for easy access and inspector’s visibility
- Set up and tie off ladders for the city/county inspectors
- Maintain company vehicles serviced and stocked with necessary materials
- Ensure a safe working environment through strict adherence to and enforcement of company and industry safety standards
- Identify gaps and risks in safety standards and makerecommendations to management
- Ensure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Certifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
- Minimum licensing requirement to legally perform the job in each market
Experience:
- Must have a minimum 1-year experience in carpentry
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience roofing/carpentry/handyman
- Experience with all AHJ guidelines within the region
