AES Clean Energy is currently seeking an Associate Project Scheduler. This position Develops and maintains schedules for all assigned projects at AES Clean Energy. Ability to summarize EPC project schedules into the AES CE Integrated Master Schedule and monitor schedule progression against the schedule baseline. This role explains schedule variances and prepares reports on schedule-related trends; assists the project developers, project managers, and management to understand the projects’ outlook.
The Associate Project Scheduler reports to the Regional Scheduling Manager.
KEY Responsibilities:
- Reviews project schedule data to include records of activities, verify open/close dates, WBS structure as applicable, and associated data as applicable to activities
- Evaluates work packages and other related data for feasibility of implementation
- Makes recommendations as to alternative methods or processes that may be used to efficiently achieve and maintain desired customer results
- Works with internal and external customers to communicate status of work and corrective actions that may be required to ensure conformance to established schedules
- Works closely with project developers and managers to ensure that schedule information is communicated to the parties performing the work
- Supervises development and provides input to the project status reports (such as a critical path analysis, internal schedule analysis) to ensure accurate documentation is maintained and complete
- Develops and maintains project baselines
- Analyzes project requirements and ensures that required resources are available so that established schedules may be reasonably maintained; If resources are not available, notifies supervision and the project manager of resource issues
- Coordinates with internal and external customers to obtain data concerning the status of assigned project activities or achievements
- Modifies schedules as necessary to efficiently plan and report activities as required
- Prepares standard Scheduling reports to reflect accurate schedule status and/or corrective actions as required
- Coordinates projects with all participants to ensure that plans are achievable and current
- Candidate may act as delegate for their manager (Regional Scheduling Manager).
- Develops schedule analysis and documentation for EPC Contract adherence
- Implements and supports the development of scheduling standards and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work with people of multifaceted backgrounds and be able to reach consensus on complex issues in a timely manner
- 0-3 years of scheduling experience, or experience in solar project development and/or construction (industries accepted for O&G, Utility, Renewable, pure Construction)
- Apply scheduling techniques using scheduling software and perform scheduling analysis
- Apply analysis techniques and lead others in developing schedules and plans in an effective and timely manner
- The candidate should be a great teammate, possessing good customer support skills, and have well written and verbal communication skills
- General knowledge or understanding of a commercial scheduling software like Primavera P6, MS Project, and additional programs within Microsoft Windows such Word and Excel
