Job Summary:
What part will you play?
GAF Energy is seeking a Roofer to repair and install Timberline Solar roof components including solar modules and asphalt roof shingles.
This role will work on a roofing crew that will be installing solar roof components on new and existing Timberline Solar projects.
Specific training will be provided on our Timberline Solar roofing system.
What will you do?
Determine materials and equipment needed to install and replace roofing and solar system components.
Set up, secure, climb, and descend ladders and equipment to access residential roofs.
Install and use safety equipment during work tasks, including Personal Fall Arrest Systems when working at heights.
Follow installation plans and work instructions to install and replace roofing and solar components.
Work efficiently and safely with hand and power tools.
Work to provide the best customer experience to exceed customer expectations.
What do we require from you?
Construction experience, including roofing, carpentry, or solar installation. Experience working on pitched, residential roofs is a must.
The ability to efficiently and independently prioritize tasks to deliver on deadlines and minimize downtime.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace is preferable.
Must possess a valid driver's license, preferably with a demonstrated record of safe driving.
The ability to travel often.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform other physical tasks in a seasonal outdoor environment.
Excels in a team atmosphere and can work well both within their crew as well as with homeowner customers and internal GAF Energy stakeholders.
Additional qualifications (not required)
Safety, Quality certifications, roofing or electrical apprentice or licensed journeyperson.
Equipment certifications such as aerial, scissor, and forklift equipment.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to wear safety equipment (weighing up to 15 lbs) and perform work at heights.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb ladders and/or stairs.
Specific vision abilities including close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus is required.
Must be able to walk, stand, and maintain balance on sloped surfaces such as roofs.
Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and occasional climbing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing is required.
Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of tools and equipment is required.
Communicating verbally in person and through automated devices such as the telephone.
Benefits and Compensation:
