Sales Manager

OVERVIEW:
The Sales Manager is a dynamic and results-driven leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing the sales operations at Construction Innovations. This position is focused on managing a high-performing sales team, supporting the execution of strategic sales initiatives, analyzing sales data to drive growth, and ensuring efficient collaboration across departments and customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales management, excellent analytical skills, and familiarity with the renewable energy and electrical manufacturing sectors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and motivate the sales team, fostering professional development and high performance.
- Execute effective sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and expand customer base.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, support critical negotiations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Monitor and manage sales KPIs, ensuring alignment with company Quality Management System (QMS) and Lean methodologies.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and design teams to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and customer service.
- Manage departmental file structures, including proposal templates, brochures, and marketing materials.
- Ensure the CRM database is accurately maintained and utilized effectively to optimize customer interactions and sales processes.
- Evaluate and implement tools, software, and technology to streamline sales processes and improve team performance.
- Manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Sales Manager spends most of their time in an office environment. The office is an open and collaborative space where work is performed both independently and with the team to ensure that internal and external stakeholder requests are met.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports to the Director of Growth & Development.

LOCATION:
Construction Innovations’ facilities and offices are located in Sacramento, CA, and Mather, CA.
COMPENSATION:
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $113,900.00 - $186,600.00, annually. The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role, and compensation decisions depend on each case's facts and circumstances.

Qualifications
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of sales experience with proven leadership skills, preferably within the utility-scale PV, storage, and/or infrastructure markets or related industries
- Ability to leverage a network of clients and relationships to develop opportunities in the utility-scale PV, storage, and/or infrastructure markets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present and negotiate with clients
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills, with the ability to develop and implement sales strategies
- Knowledge of electrical systems and their components is a plus
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Ability to travel as needed to support business goals
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Email, Salesforce, and project management software
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly sit, stand, and walk for long and short distances
- Required to hear with or without correction to be able to interpret and receive information and directions
- Regularly required to communicate: verbal and written, in order to describe and explain detailed, important, and accurate instructions
- Occasionally lift and/or move material up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Noise level is usually moderate
