Job Summary:
The successful candidate will manage dispatch and commercial optimization of REV’s Assets and stand up as a key contributor to REV’s culture, expansion, and commercial success.
Job Functions:
- Maximize Gross Margin of REV Renewables’ Asset Portfolio in PJM, CAISO and ISONE across, DA, RT Energy and ancillaries
- Lead scheduling, dispatch, and RT trading of assets in accordance with market rules
- Develop Day-Ahead bidding and Real-Time optimization strategies for generation assets
- Assist in develop tools and models to improve asset performance and operational efficiency
- Research, develop and analyze initiatives to improve optimization and dispatch strategies
- Follow and provide input on regulatory changes which can impact asset dispatch value
- Assist with new asset onboarding; collaborate with Asset Management; optimize outage schedules
- Co-ordinate with PJM on ISO Operations, billing and other enquiries and initiatives
- On-call and work duties outside regular business hours, including weekends and evenings, with compensatory time off during business hours
Education/Experience:
- Strong drive and determination to add value through your actions
- At least 3 years of experience in energy asset operations/trading
- Expert operational knowledge of PJM, ISONE and CAISO power market structures and tariff rules
- Ideally programming experience, esp. Python and VBA/SQL l, or a sincere commitment to learn
- Demonstrated ability to execute under pressure; making quick decisions with limited time and information
- Strong Intellectual curiosity, ownership mentality, entrepreneurial attitude and team work
- Bachelor’s degree or heavy experience in a numerate discipline
