PV-CAD Draftsman

The role primarily focuses on building PV CAD for Arizona, Texas, and California residential and commercial markets.
Reports to Engineering Manager.
Remote Work Opportunity
Compensation- $1,000 to $1,250 monthly.

Education:

An associate degree in Drafting from a technical school or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering is required.
Years of relevant experience. 1-2 years CAD experience required — primarily 2D AutoCAD
Ability to problem solve and stay organized.
Proficient mathematical skills.
Detail-oriented and time management skills.
Knowledge of necessary regulations in construction and/or related fields.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Needs to possess Basic PV/Solar Knowledge.

Duties and Expectations

Proficiently use CAD software (AutoCAD) to create detailed solar system designs and layouts.
Prepare accurate and scaled drawings that include solar panel placement, wiring diagrams, mounting structures, and other PV system components.
Create detailed CAD drawings and layouts for solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) arrays, solar farms, and rooftop installations.
Work in close coordination with Senior Design Systems Engineer to meet daily assigned targets.
Ability to design 3-5 PV site plans with less than a 24-hour turnaround.
Ensure that all solar system designs comply with local, state, and national regulations, as well as industry standards and codes.
Create electrical schematics and ensure proper interconnection between the solar system and the electrical grid.
Maintain organized records of all project drawings, revisions, and relevant documents for reference and compliance purposes.
Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of design drawings and address any discrepancies or errors.
Work closely with engineers and installation teams to ensure the smooth execution of solar energy projects.
