About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our cloud-based IT environment. This role focuses exclusively on cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and other SaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud administration, security, automation, and compliance, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our cloud-based systems. Additionally, the Senior Systems Administrator will support users across 10+ states, both in the office and in the field, managing a wide range of assets including laptops, phones, modules, warehouse tools, and more.

Responsibilities- Administer and optimize cloud services, including Microsoft 365, Azure, or AWS. Identify areas for automation to increase availability and reduce human involvement.
- Implement and monitor security tools such as Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Defender to safeguard organizational data.
- Manage cloud-based identity and access management, including Azure AD, Conditional Access, MFA, and SSO.
- Oversee Microsoft 365 applications such as Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Implement and manage cloud security policies, including data loss prevention (DLP), sensitivity labels, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies and data backup protocols.
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
- Monitor system performance, conduct proactive maintenance, and troubleshoot cloud-based services.
- Manage cloud networking, including virtual networks, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud-based DNS services.
- Support endpoint management using Intune (Endpoint Manager) and Windows Autopilot.
- Ensure compliance with industry security standards (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, GDPR, SOC 2).
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to optimize cloud governance and best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Drive yearly security efforts with emphasis on securing our devices, users, physical assets, and cloud resources against unauthorized use and disruption.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration with a focus on cloud-based environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and cloud-based security principles.
- Experience with PowerShell or other automation tools.
- Understanding of compliance standards such as SOC 2.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for cloud-based applications and services.
- Strong knowledge configuring cloud networking (virtual networks, VPNs, firewalls, DNS).
- Experience with endpoint management solutions like Intune and Windows Autopilot.
- Advanced knowledge of permission management systems across SharePoint, Entra, and Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with bulk imaging company hardware using Microsoft Intune across multiple operating systems (iOS, macOS, Windows, Android).
- Proficiency in security tools like Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, and eDiscovery queries.
- Ability to handle the bulk procurement of hardware and software including contracts.
- Knowledge of fundamental security principles, experience applying principles, and a security-first mindset.
- Ability to work at least 3+ days a week in the office in Asbury Park, NJ (hybrid work model).
Preferred Qualifications- Microsoft Certifications, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Security Administrator Associate.
- Network+, Security+, A+ certifications.
- Familiarity with zero-trust security frameworks.
- Knowledge of SIEM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, or AWS Security Hub).
- Knowledge of Dynamics CE.
