Scope of Position

The individual will oversee the consolidation of the EDF Renewables financial statements in Business Objects Financial Consolidation (BOFC) under the supervision of the Sr. Manager, Financial Reporting and Consolidation. The individual will apply his/her knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures, and will support the Consolidation Department. He/she will understand and assist in meeting the needs of the Corporate Consolidation Department at the parent company EDF Renouvelables in Paris, France. This position works closely with members of the EDF Renewables FCPA, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, the Executive Management team, our French parent-company EDF Renouvelables and their corresponding KPMG auditors. This position will also on IFRS technical accounting, understanding of complex transactions (IFRS10/change of scope analysis), identifying accounting issues requiring technical guidance writing memos and providing with guidance to reflect adequately in SAP and BOFC. The role will have to monitor new standards releases and potential impacts on EDF Renewables financial statements and issue detailed memos and accounting guidance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and own all deliverables and complex financial transactions related to the consolidation of the assigned Segment(s) cash flow analysis. Manage and own preparation of analytical reviews and corresponding analysis for Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statements for the assigned Segment(s).
- Collaborate with the Corporate Finance teams (tax, treasury, FCPA and account) and other business team (Development, Construction, Divesture, Supply, Valuations, etc.) to anticipate and generate proper accounting/consolidation entries for potential and actual operations
- In charge of IFRS subjects/standards, memo preparation, report impact analysis or transversal studies on standards, and prepare training for members of the Corporate Finance Group, as necessary.
- Primary contact for KPMG auditors for the assigned segment and preparation of necessary schedules, support, and communication.
- Communication with Paris.
- Other duties as assigned
Work Location and Conditions:
100% of time is spent in an office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. Hybrid office schedule or remote.
Qualifications
Education/Experience –
- 8+ years of accounting experience preferred; consolidation is a plus.
- Master’s degree in accounting and/or Finance or equivalent experience required.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities –
- Consolidation expertise more specifically change of scope impacts, dilutions, cash flow, and equity movements analysis,
- IFRS advanced knowledge, capabilities to treat complex accounting topics and issue detailed memos and accounting treatment advice.
- Experience with Business Objects Financial Consolidation (BOFC) or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) software preferred. SAP/ERP experience is highly preferred.
- Preferred experience in Renewables/Energy sector/international environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; must possess particularly strong Excel skills and be knowledgeable in Word and Outlook.
- Must be self-motivated, well organized and a demonstrated problem solver. Strong communication skills are required.
- Experience working with teams, leading projects, and collaborating with other functions to solve complex business issues.
This role’s annual base salary range is between $93,400.00 and $155,700.00 Relocation assistance is available.
