What part will you play?
GAF Energy is seeking an Operations Manager who will play an important role in our mission to harvest energy from rooftops and deliver ultimate customer satisfaction.
This exciting role will report to the Director Field Operations, Enterprise, and work within a cross-functional team to ensure the overall success of GAF Energy’s field installations in our New Homes, Military Housing, and Commercial markets
The ideal candidate must have experience with residential solar, EV, or stationary storage operations and thrive working in a fast-paced environment.
This person will be responsible for and act as a crucial member of the team by interfacing technically between our roofing partners, enterprise customers, homeowners and residents, the electrician network, project coordinators, and various state and local municipal staff, as needed.
This role serves as the “glue” between all operations teams and will ensure all aspects of each project are understood, addressed, and executed.
What will you do?
Oversee operations and project management of community rooftop solar installations.
Collaborate with suppliers and GAF Energy’s supply chain team to ensure smooth project execution.
Clearly communicate GAF Energy’s scope both internally across departments and externally with partners.
Maintain accurate reporting and documentation.
Monitor job progress, review project documentation, and manage technical escalations.
Utilize CRM and online platforms to manage tasks, track invoices, and process payments.
Keep clients informed of project progress and promptly address any concerns or escalations.
What do we require from you?
8+ years work experience in solar or homebuilding industry
Familiarity with new home construction processes is a plus.
Ability to liaise between sales, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Strong communication skills across diverse settings and audiences, with excellent listening abilities.
Adaptable, personable, and innovative, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and pressure.
Proven experience working with cross-functional teams to drive results.
High energy, urgency, and ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently.
A team player who takes initiative and is willing to support wherever needed.
Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and guide others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
Highly organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
Must possess a valid driver's license, preferably with a demonstrated record of safe driving.

Individuals hired for this position can reasonably expect a base salary within the range of $100,000 - $130,000 and an annual bonus.
