POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss’ Solar Assistant Project Accountant will be responsible for supporting the accounting department with timely processing of hourly and salaried payroll, accounts payable, and expense reporting for the project site. The ideal candidate would have relevant accounting experience. Construction industry experience is a strong plus.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Project Administrator to review and upload hours worked into the accounting system. Verifying that all employees have been accounted for properly.
Liaison with Payroll Department to address and research any errors or changes to weekly and bi-weekly payroll
Ensure per diem is processed for project personnel
Ensure hourly timesheets are filed weekly on SharePoint
Setup vendors for the project
Process and cost code accounts payable invoices for the project site
Reconcile monthly statements for project A/P
Collect, manage, and code credit card receipts via CORPAY for project and field personnel
Ensure credit card charges are in adherence with company policy and submitted within deadlines
Process expense reports for project and field personnel promptly
Support Project Accounting team as needed
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (A.A.); or high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years of experience working in an accounting setting (experience in construction & accounts payable a strong plus
2+ years working with accounting systems
Always maintain professional ethics
Take initiative to anticipate, identify, investigate, and trouble shoot issues
Organized and able to prioritize important tasks and can meet all specific deadlines
Demonstrates dependability by completing tasks promptly and responding to management direction
Ability to adapt and multi-task and handle high volume of invoices with accuracy
Build and maintain healthy relationships with vendors, card holders, PA, PM, and vendors
Displays accuracy and thoroughness in the quality of work
Collaborates well with others
Provides excellent customer service by responding promptly to field operations and vendor requests
Exhibits good written communication skills including reading, interpreting, writing, and listening
Highly engaged and committed and ability to close out job
