OVERVIEW:
The IT Support Technician plays a critical role in delivering high-quality technical support to users across the organization. This position requires a resourceful, inquisitive self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and driven to enhance organizational IT capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide empathetic, professional support to users, resolving technical issues promptly.
- Assist with setup, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Apple devices.
- Respond to Help Desk requests via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT equipment such as printers, workstations, and mobile devices.
- Support basic account management tasks like password resets within Active Directory.
- Maintain accurate records of support activities and user feedback.
- Assist with IT inventory tracking and asset management.
- Provide guidance and basic training to users on IT tools and systems.
- Follow IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and security.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

IT Support Technician I
- Includes all Responsibilities and Desired Skills & Experience indicated above.
IT Support Technician II
- Includes all Responsibilities and Desired Skills & Experience indicated In Level I above and the following:
- Focus: Independently troubleshoot and resolve diverse technical issues while managing advanced support tasks and collaborating with teams to deploy and maintain IT systems.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Escalate recurring issues or areas for improvement to align IT operations with user needs.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment and specialized IT systems.
- Administer and maintain device management platforms like Microsoft Intune.
- Manage and support user profiles and permissions within Active Directory.
- Oversee IT inventory, including procurement and equipment availability.
- Collaborate with teams to deploy new technologies and system upgrades.
- Additional Certifications: CompTIA A+, ITIL V4
IT Support Technician – Senior
- Includes all Responsibilities and Desired Skills & Experience indicated above in Levels I and II, and the following:
- Focus: Lead IT operations by resolving complex issues, optimizing systems, mentoring junior technicians, and driving strategic IT initiatives across the organization.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical lead for diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues.
- Optimize and manage advanced IT systems, including backups, storage solutions, and network infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to align with organizational goals.
- Lead IT inventory management, including procurement strategy and lifecycle management.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and maintain IT systems supporting business operations.
- Act as a mentor and escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
- Monitor IT performance metrics and recommend improvements for Help Desk efficiency.
- Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance IT operations.
- Deliver comprehensive training materials and technical documentation for IT staff and users.
- Stay informed on IT and cybersecurity trends, implementing best practices.
- Additional Certifications: LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt, CompTIA Security+
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field or a combination of equivalent education and at least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Microsoft 365: Desktop Admin Associate certifications are a plus
- Proven ability to absorb and apply new technical knowledge quickly
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and a desire to innovate
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and their technology requirements
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Knowledge of electrical systems and their components is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift, carry, stack, and move IT equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to convey detailed and accurate instructions and information verbally.
- Ability to hear with or without correction for receiving and interpreting detailed information.
- Ability to sit or stand at a desk workstation for varying periods.
- Capability to push, pull, lift, reach, and carry at least 10 pounds, occasionally lifting/moving up to 35 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Occasional walking and standing are required.
- Visual acuity with or without correction for reading documentation, analyzing data, and using electronic devices.
- Use of fingers and hands for operating a computer or other electronic devices.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position primarily operates within an office setting designed as an open and collaborative space. The role involves a balance of independent work and teamwork, fostering a supportive environment to effectively address and fulfill customer requests.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
This position reports to the Director of Information Technology.

Construction Innovations facilities and offices are situated in Sacramento, CA, and Mather, CA.
COMPENSATION:
A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range for this position is $23.85 - $34.66 per hour. The actual amount offered within this range will depend on a variety of factors including geography, skills and abilities, education, experience, and other relevant job-related factors. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
