Blattner is seeking a Torque and Tension Lead to oversee bolting and tensioning operations for our wind turbine site in Corona, New Mexico. This role ensures all torque and tension activities are executed safely, accurately, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Lead torque and tensioning operations on wind turbine components.
- Ensure all bolted connections meet specified torque values and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections, verifications, and documentation of all torque related work.
- Train and supervise technicians to ensure safe and efficient execution.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Maintain detailed reports and logs of all bolting activities for quality assurance.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Proven experience in torque and tensioning operations, preferably in wind energy.
- Knowledge on GE turbines, and the manuals.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical bolting equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications and torque procedures.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.
