POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
Moss’ Regional Safety Manager - Solar is responsible for supporting the site EHS team. The RSM is responsible for supervising and leading a team of Solar Site Managers and overseeing the overall safety functions of Moss staff and sub-contractors. The RSM shall provide leadership and guidance in the areas of safety awareness, incident prevention, risk and case management. The RSM will serve as the primary liaison between the site EHS team, clients, and senior management.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise and support multiple site EHS teams
Ability to prioritize, delegate, and complete multiple tasks
Take the lead on exhibiting the Moss safety culture by inspiring an empowered culture that creates a healthy environment by honoring relationships through providing clear vision, process, and tools
Conduct site EHS Audits on Moss safety program requirements at a minimum monthly
Review root cause analyses and incident reports for completeness and accuracy. Help drive corrective actions to closure when necessary
Support the maintenance and implementation of EHS programs and initiatives on assigned sites
Support and lead by influence and strategic partnership with project and construction team on assigned sites
Keeps safety credentials current
Demonstrate extensive ability to evaluate environmental health and safety related risks and propose meaningful hazard mitigation strategies and solutions
Knowledge of record-keeping principles and practices
Provide guidance to site leadership on regulatory and legislative matters (OSHA, FMCSA, DOT, EPA, ANSI, etc.)
Provide guidance to site leadership on Moss policies and procedures
Demonstrate ability to work independently and with a team with attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to travel 90% of the time
Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate interpersonal skills across diverse cultures
Verbal and written English communication skills are required. Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Associates or BS in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred) and seven years’ experience or ten or more years of experience in safety with a proven ability in EHS leadership roles
Must have working knowledge of related regulatory agencies and extensive knowledge of OSHA standards as they relate to the construction and power generation industries
Demonstrated ability to use standard office software programs, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, etc.
CHST/OHST, ASP, CSP, CUSP, CSHO. Other recognized safety certifications will be considered case by case
Valid U.S. Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
