Position Description:
The Warehouse Assistant will collaborate closely with the Procurement Manager and warehouse team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include receiving and processing deliveries, preparing materials for job mobilizations, coordinating pickups and deliveries to job sites, managing inventory and supplies, and ensuring the warehouse remains clean, organized, and efficient.
Responsibilities:
a) Inventory Support
- Unload incoming shipments, verify contents against order forms, ensure goods are in good condition, and process packing slips
- Pick and pull materials from inventory for projects as listed, update project material records, and interact with accounting software to maintain inventory levels
- Restock materials returned from projects
- Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and identify discrepancies
- Forklift operation
b) Project Support
- Safely prepare, load and strap materials to vehicles for material mobilizations
- Pickup and deliver materials from suppliers to projects as needed
c) Warehouse Support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouses and parking lot
- Perform small construction projects within warehouse
Qualifications:
- Must have valid CA driver’s license and a clean driving record to allow for driving of company vehicle
- Must be able to work on feet all day and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted, 100 lbs assisted
- Must be able to work as early as 6am every day
- Detail-oriented and well organized
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively with others
- Ability to use computer systems for inventory management and order processing.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience with general plumbing and electrical materials a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- “Handyperson” abilities a plus
