Lumina is looking for an Electrician to join our Energy Services Maintenance team in Palm, Pennsylvania. As an Electrician on our Maintenance team, you’ll focus on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems for residential solar PV setups, battery storage, and EV charging systems. Your expertise will ensure that our customers’ solar energy systems continue to operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all applicable codes.
In this role, you'll get to:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and components of residential solar PV installations
Diagnose issues with solar modules, inverters, batteries, EV chargers, service panels, and other related equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure long-term performance and safety
Assess and correct system performance issues, electrical code violations, and workmanship concerns
Interpret and apply electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and service documentation to identify and resolve faults
Complete electrical testing, including voltage checks, continuity testing, and system diagnostics
Ensure all work meets company standards, NEC requirements, and local electrical codes
Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and system updates through mobile tools and reporting apps
Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain technical findings, service needs, and solutions
Mentor junior service technicians and apprentices while promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and technical excellence
Uphold all company policies and lead by example in following safety regulations and protocols
Perform removals and re-installations of pre-existing installations, general service work, and any other job duties assigned by your manager
Keep company vehicles well-maintained, fully stocked, and properly serviced
Follow all safety regulations and policies to ensure a safe working environment
Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall project success
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
Valid Journeyman or Master’s Electrician license
2+ years of Solar electrical experience
Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Ability to read and interpret Electrical line drawings
Ability to read building plans and equipment manuals
Proficiency in safely handling power and hand tools, as well as materials such as ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materials
Knowledge of electrical systems, both AC and DC, including troubleshooting, wiring, and assembly
Ability to troubleshoot electrical installation projects
Capability to climb ladders, work on sloped roofs in all weather conditions, and stand for extended periods
Experience and comfort working in attics and confined spaces
Ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly
Must be proficient in the use of smartphones and tablets, utilizing them effectively for communication, accessing job-related apps and software, documenting work progress, and staying connected with team members and supervisors as required
Proven track record of reliable attendance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards on every job
Position requires passing a drug screening and background check
A valid driver’s license is required for all positions at Lumina
