AES is seeking a Director of Project Controls for US Renewables. The Director of Project Controls is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of project controls across the US Renewables portfolio. This individual will provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership in Scheduling, Cost Management, and Labor Compliance from early-stage development through construction, completion, and transition to operations. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full regulatory compliance.This position reports to the Vice President of EPC Business Operations and will focus on utility-scale solar, battery storage, and wind projects throughout the US.
Project Controls Leadership
Lead the overall Project Controls function, aligning scheduling, cost, and labor compliance strategies with business objectives.
Direct and mentor the Scheduling team in the development, maintenance, and optimization of detailed project schedules for wind, solar, and hybrid projects.
Labor Compliance Oversight
Data & Systems Integration
Leverage advanced tools, including emerging AI technologies, to enhance the accuracy, speed, and insight of project control processes.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Serve as a key liaison between project controls and development, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
The Director of Project Controls must be able and willing to develop robust data systems and reporting to facilitate review of project status across all Controls functions. This role will also interface with cross-functional teams across the entire business unit.
