Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency, safety, and appearance of company facilities and grounds. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, administrative support, and coordinating contractors to ensure a high-quality, safe, and timely work environment.
- Maintenance & Repair
- Conduct daily site inspections and perform cleaning or minor repairs.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on buildings, mechanical systems, and equipment.
- Administrative Support
- Manage preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, spreadsheets, and purchase orders.
- Document and report maintenance activities and issues.
- Facility Support
- Assist with office furniture reconfigurations and departmental setup needs.
- Provide logistical support for events, meetings, and company activities.
- Contractor Coordination
- Schedule, supervise, and inspect work done by third-party vendors and contractors.
- Safety & Compliance
- Conduct safety inspections and recommend cost-effective improvements.
- Ensure all activities meet safety and cleanliness standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in facility and equipment maintenance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in email and documentation tools (e.g., MS Office)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Experience in facility or maintenance repair (required)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
Physical & Working Conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, standing, and working in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable working around mechanical equipment, tools, and confined spaces
- Must be available for on-call assignments, off-hours, and overtime as needed
