Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects across the U.S. are playing a critical role in advancing the transition to clean energy by harnessing agricultural waste and converting it into sustainable energy. These projects primarily focus on the conversion of organic waste, such as manure, into RNG, a cleaner alternative to conventional fossil fuels. By capturing methane emissions that would otherwise escape into the atmosphere, RNG projects help mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and reduce the environmental impact of agriculture.
