Basic Job Functions:
The Control Room – Supervisor executes and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the NovaSource Control Room. The primary objectives are to ensure the real time operations are managed to the requirements set forth in the O&M contracts; that the powerplants maintain compliance with all aspects of the PPAs, Interconnection Agreements, and all regulatory requirements; All while ensuring that all safety bast practices are followed to the best ability by all operators within the control room and attempting to maximize the energy yield from all the power plants within the fleet. The control room supervisor will also be responsible for ensuring the functional training of all operators is achieved and delivered for all necessary actions and for all technology improvement that will increase throughput. The Control Room – Lead III (Supervisor) is also responsible for interfacing with external teams to ensure business and support units can perform as necessary to meet company goals.
- Performs all responsibilities of a Control Room – Lead II
- Fill in for a Control Room – Lead II as necessary.
- Supervise the control room either directly or through delegation.
- Generate reports and presentations to provide to senior management.
- Share technical expertise with team members and customers.
- Understand contractual requirements and implement solutions to meet them at scale.
- Meet goals regardless of roadblocks.
- Manage customer relationships in a positive and professional manner.
- Provide regular feedback and recommendations to upper management on issues and opportunities.
- Manage Shift Schedules and coordinate coverage.
- Review and approve timesheets.
- Provide individual reviews for direct reports.
- Review site work packages for operational, electrical, and functional safety.
Experience:
- One of the following:
- 1 – 2 years as a Control Room – Lead II
- 2 – 3 years as a Control Room – Lead I
- Control Room – Lead III Quals achieved
- Able to demonstrate proficient technical knowledge of all power plant systems (Electrical, SCADA, safety, etc.).
- Experience making high-value business decisions in complicated technical environments at scale.
