Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $55,400 to $92,300 annually. The target range for this position is $70,000 to $77,000 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.
Scope of Job: This position will be responsible for overseeing and executing on energy production volumes of the Company’s operating portfolio to ensure revenues are calculated, received and recorded accurately, as well as performing monthly recording and financial review of standard operational reporting. This role will be responsible for performing standardized month-end journal entry processing under IFRS and US GAAP, balance sheet reconciliations and other reviews of financial data.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee revenue recognition of operating projects, including utility, energy, and energy attribute invoicing, collection, posting of cash receipts, etc. Perform standardized monthly journal entries for revenue recognition, including but not limited to standard monthly accruals, deferred income, intercompany reconciling transactions, etc.
- Perform standard monthly analysis ensuring balances reconcile to the trial balance, including intercompany reconciliation.
- Work closely with the Portfolio Reporting Accounting Group in preparing and providing external audit deliverables for both IFRS and US GAAP, i.e. revenue invoicing, cash collection evidence, various balance sheet reconciliations, financial statement disclosures, etc.
- Work closely with the Portfolio Reporting Accounting Group in the transition of portfolio project sites reaching commercial operation, including the set-up of necessary accounts in SAP, establishing standardized journal entries, developing various reconciliations, etc.
- Prepare ad hoc reports as needed to support routine reviews, accounting, and financial reporting needs.

Working Conditions: Approximately 40-60% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers as well as other office equipment. 40-60% of the time is spent in a “Work from Home” (WFH) environment. Frequent use of phones, general office equipment and various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite products is required. In addition, the Corporate Finance team utilizes SAP.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting or finance;
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, either in-progress or designated, OR legacy Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified General Accountant designation (CGA);
- A minimum of 2-4 years’ experience working within an accounting department (public practice, from a mid-tier or Big 4 CA/CPA firm);
- High level proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel; and
- Previous experience successfully handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

- Experience working in a fast-paced environment; and
- Ability to manage time and work under tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements: Three days of the week will be working in-person, in office in the Calgary downtown core or San Diego Corporate Office. The remainder of the work week will be remote at the employee’s discretion.
