Description
We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Experienced Solar Installer to join our growing renewable energy team. As a key member of our installation crew, you’ll take the lead in safely and efficiently installing residential solar systems that deliver lasting value to our customers. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship, values teamwork, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where every project contributes to a cleaner future.
What You’ll Do
- Perform installations of residential solar photovoltaic (PV) systems from layout through final connections, ensuring top-quality workmanship and compliance with all codes and standards.
- Work closely with crew leads and electricians to ensure seamless system integration and safe installation practices.
- Set up and maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site, following all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Install racking systems, solar panels, wiring, and electrical components with precision and attention to detail.
- Review blueprints, drawings, and site layouts to verify materials and system configuration before installation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges quickly and effectively to keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain strong communication with project managers, warehouse teams, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior installers and apprentices, fostering skill development and teamwork.
- Ensure post-installation quality checks are completed and documented for inspection readiness.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of hands-on experience installing solar PV systems (roof and/or ground-mount).
- Strong understanding of solar racking, module layout, conduit bending, and wire management best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, one-line diagrams, and equipment data sheets.
- Proven track record of working safely at heights and on rooftops.
- Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and local building/electrical codes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills — you take pride in representing the company professionally on every job.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- NABCEP certification or electrical background a plus, but not required.
