The Solar Planner & Schedulerwill report to the CE Maintenance Support Planning Team Leader, they will review and plan corrective notifications/work orders for a variety of solar and solar plus storage facilities daily. The Planner will also help plan, schedule, and track routine maintenances for each site, follow up on all open work orders in the CMMS tool, assist with ePAS permits and work directly with other resources, programs, and teams to schedule Preventive Maintenance (PM) work across each site. They will incorporate any alarms or alerts from the Remote Operations Center, the non-regulatory monitoring team, as well as directly from SCADA monitoring platforms into the daily schedules to attend to any vital Corrective Maintenance (CM).
Primary responsibilities:
Helps to ensure that all maintenance activities are performed safely.
Build work orders for corrective and routine work which include estimated hours, job assignments, parts, tooling, safety plan, rigging requirements, etc. in the CMMS tool.
Build/Review/Approve permits for each site in ePAS daily.
Prepares and schedules work orders for contractors required to accomplish all maintenance activities.
Enters purchase requisitions in the CMMS tool (work order level) to procure contracted resources on an as needed basis.
Maintain up to date schedule of maintenance work orders and backlog status.
Assist in measuring and improving maintenance KPI’s such as schedule compliance, rework, break in work, Pm/Pdm compliance, Mean Time Between Failures, Time to Repair, etc.
Communicates routinely with operations/maintenance teams to review work priorities and schedules.
Maintains Asset Bill of Materials accuracy.
Work with Lead/site personnel to develop planned outage resource loaded schedules.
Work with site personnel to develop weekly resource loaded schedules 2-4 weeks out and lead weekly planning meetings.
Responsible for ensuring that daily work orders, time entry and parts usage are processed in the CMMS tool.
Schedule and supervise QA/QC of maintenance work performed.
Get along with Purchasing/Warehouse/Demand Planner to ensure all parts to perform service and documented repairs are reserved, ordered and in stock for the work being forecasted in the CMMS tool.
Work with each site for crafting/scheduling proactive work orders based on vibration analysis, EtaPro, oil sample results, etc. or recommendations from the engineering team.
Work with other programs i.e., ePAS, SiteDocs, SCADA, EtaPro, the CMMS tool, etc.
Work with all Team Leaders, Lead Technicians, Demand Planner, ROCC Team, Engineering Team each week to proactively schedule out inspections or other work required.
Follows and champions AES Work Management processes.
Educational Qualifications:
High School diploma required.
Technical degree or equivalent experience in Maintenance, Electrical, Instrumentation Operations and or Technical trade is strongly preferred.
CMRP (certified maintenance reliability professional) certification desirable.
Skills Qualifications:
Demonstrate the ability to build a safe culture.
A minimum of 3 years maintenance planning experience is preferred.
Mechanical and electrical planning work experience is a plus.
Ability to efficiently relate with all plant people and vendors.
CMMS experience required; SAP experience preferred.
Computer skills required, i.e., Word, Excel, Projects, Outlook, Power Point, etc.
Must be results orientated, self motivated, and able to work with limited direct supervision.
Ability to lead a meeting and speak in large groups in person and/or via Skype/Teams.
Job Location and Details:
Reports to the Planning Team Lead on the Maintenance Support Services team.
Role will be based out of the California area.
Routine travel will involve visiting project sites. Additional travel is encouraged to be occasional for training, conventions, seminars, etc.
