This position requires the employee to report to the Ashland, Virginia office. Only candidates who reside within a reasonable commuting distance will be considered
Position Overview:
As a Commercial Solar Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of solar energy solutions among commercial clients. You will leverage your technical expertise to understand clients' energy needs, design customized solar solutions, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our products and services. This role requires a unique blend of engineering acumen, sales skills, and a passion for renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Consultation:
· Conduct thorough consultations with commercial clients to assess their energy requirements and identify opportunities for solar solutions.
· Analyze energy consumption patterns and assess the feasibility of solar installations for prospective clients.
Technical Solution Design:
· Collaborate with the engineering team to design and engineer commercial solar solutions tailored to clients' specific needs.
· Prepare detailed proposals, including system design, energy production estimates, and financial analysis.
Sales and Relationship Management:
· Lead the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation and project implementation.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including facility managers, business owners, and decision-makers.
Market Research:
· Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
· Provide insights and recommendations to the management team to enhance the company's competitiveness in the commercial solar sector.
Quota Attainment:
Meet and exceed sales targets and quotas while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Continuously identify new business opportunities and nurture existing client relationships for repeat business.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in commercial solar sales or a similar technical sales role.
Strong understanding of solar energy systems and their applications preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to translate technical concepts into compelling value propositions for clients.
Familiarity with relevant regulations, incentives, and policies in the renewable energy sector.
Results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
