About the Role:
Support the power delivery development, construction, and operations team; maintain relationships with engineering consultants, equipment vendors, and construction contractors; provide technical support and guidance for new and existing assets; determine low-cost solutions to construct new projects; develop project cost/schedule estimates; and manage contracts to safely and efficiently engineer, procure, and construct the projects.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
- Support bid solicitations and project development with knowledge of substation engineering, procurement, and construction.
- Review design packages, physical layout designs, material specifications, and construction specifications.
- Review protection and control design and electrical studies and reports
- Evaluate engineering, procurement and construction factors that lead to low-cost solutions in a highly competitive environment.
- Solicit bids, review proposals, and contract with engineering consultants, equipment vendors, and construction contractors.
- Manage engineering, procurement, and construction contracts.
Qualifications

- Have BS in Electrical Engineering with 10 plus years of power industry experience. High voltage substation experienced is a must.
- Can effectively manage multiple assignments under time constraints because of excellent time management and organization skills.
- Are solution focused and able to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Can work independently with direction on a regular basis.
