Position Title:Senior Analyst, Project Finance
Department:Development – Central region
Reports To:Director, Business Analysis
Location:Austin, TX* or Remote
*Priority is given to candidates who can work in a flexible hybrid model from our office in Austin, TX, but will also consider candidates remotely. Monthly travel may be required to either a project site or our headquarters in Austin, TX.
Position Summary
Reporting totheDirector of Business Analysis, this position will provide project development financial analysis and supportutility-scalesolarandenergy storageprojectdevelopment efforts. In addition, this position will perform economic analysis,riskmanagement,presentation creation,and transactionanalysisacross a pipeline of projects targeting wholesale power markets inNorth America.
The successful candidate willhave2-4yearsofexperience in an analyticalortransactionalrole, strong financial modeling skills, and an ability to summarize and communicate complex ideas succinctly.This is an opportunity to joinaleadingsolar and energy storage developerin a role that supportsthe continued growth of renewable energy deployment across the USwith extensiveexposure tokey decision makers.
Responsibilities
- Complete financial modelingandeconomic analysisfor a portfolioof greenfield development projects andprojectM&A opportunities.
- Perform monthly projectbudget updates and modelroll-up to support Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A’s) reportingto the Management team.
- Create discrete analysisand supporting documentationto aid land acquisition,permitting,interconnection,project engineering,power marketingefforts, financingactivities,andEPCnegotiations.
- Conduct due diligence onpotentialprojects forgreenfielddevelopmentandacquisitionopportunities.
- Preparepresentationsfor internaland external purposes, including company’s Investment Committee.
- Maintainproject databases and dashboardsto ensureaccuracy ininternal reporting.
- Support discrete project development efforts as necessary.
- Performanalysis to support strategic and creative initiativesof the company.
- Analyst’sfinancial modelingdirectly supportsproject-leveldecision-making,senior management decision-making,andFinancial, Planningand Analysis (FP&A) projections.
- Completes specialresearch andreportingtasks on anad-hocbasiswith audiencesup to and including the company’s Investment Committee.

- Desire to work in a transaction-based environment where requirements and tight deadlines are often dictatedbydeal flow.
- Highly resourceful and comfortable working in an unstructured, entrepreneurialenvironment.
- Evidence of solid research and writing skills.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree inFinance, Business, or other relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Renewable energy development,finance,and/or consulting experience preferred.
- 2-4yearsofwork experience, preferably within a transactional industry
- Ability andwillingness to travel as required.
