Job Summary:
What part will you play?
GAF Energy is seeking a Roof Production Supervisor to lead a team that is installing and replacing roofing components such as solar modules, asphalt shingles, and various accessories as needed.
The role will oversee crews at various sites, handle in-person customer interactions onsite, and will be able to efficiently and independently prioritize tasks to deliver on deadlines and minimize downtime.
The ideal candidate will also have a strong residential roofing and solar construction skill set, and an aptitude for applying their skills to efficiently diagnose and fix problems.
You will collaborate with O&M Management to prioritize tasks, facilitate job scheduling, manage material deliveries, and streamline and improve processes.
What will you do?
Oversee project scheduling and establish clear expectations and objectives for crews.
Maintain regular communication with crews throughout the day, and actively coordinate with various departmental stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication across teams.
Onsite supervision of crew and contractors to ensure safety and quality.
Use test equipment to take measurements on solar system components and evaluate their performance based on the pass/fail criteria provided.
Determine materials and equipment needed to install and replace roofing and solar system components.
Setup, secure, climb, and descend ladders and equipment to access residential roofs.
Install and use safety equipment during work tasks, including Personal Fall Arrest Systems when working at heights.
Follow installation plans and work instructions to install and replace roofing and solar components.
Work efficiently and safely with hand and power tools.
Communicate effectively with customers and homeowners to schedule new work and report on the results of completed work.
Work with other Quality Assurance and Operations teams to provide the best customer experience.
What do we require from you?
Have at least 2+ years of verifiable experience in roofing and/or solar construction.
Prior experience overseeing and directing crews.
Proficiency in navigating web-based tools and applications as required.
Must possess a valid driver's license, preferably with a demonstrated record of safe driving
The ability to travel to multiple sites within the region as needed.
The ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform other physical tasks in a dynamic outdoor environment
Individuals hired for this position can reasonably expect a base salary within the range of $90,000 - $110,000 and an annual bonus.
