Description
Trinity Solar's Business Technology team is looking for a Product Owner who will be a strategic leader responsible for defining and driving the product vision, roadmap, and execution strategy in alignment with business goals. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, senior management, and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that bring significant value to the organization. The successful candidate will champion standardized processes throughout the software development lifecycle to enhance efficiency, quality, and agility.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that supports the broader business technology roadmap and organizational objectives.
- Engage proactively with key stakeholders to gather business requirements and identify opportunities for technology-driven enhancements.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and other methods to elicit detailed product requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs and outcomes.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories and epics; maintain a well-groomed, prioritized product backlog aligned with strategic goals.
- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle and manage product releases.
- Perform Scrum Master duties including leading sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming, release planning, and daily stand-ups.
- Ensure thorough testing and compliance with quality standards across all development tasks.
- Maintain and communicate the product roadmap, release plans, schedules, issue logs, status reports, and meeting agendas with actionable outcomes.
- Drive product delivery to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality benchmarks using Agile methodologies.
- Enforce standardized development and release management processes across the product lifecycle.
- Support change management initiatives to drive successful adoption of new products and processes.
- Leverage analytics and user feedback to measure product performance and guide continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate risks or challenges throughout product development and deployment.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, security standards, and internal policies.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with authority and clarity, earning the respect and confidence of team members and stakeholders.
- Create and deliver presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
- Coach and lead product teams in Agile/Scrum methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Champion process improvement initiatives within the broader technology organization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role with a strong track record of delivering technology solutions.
- Professional certifications such as CSM, CSPO, or PMP are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in product management, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional team leadership.
- Proven ability to manage complex, large-scale projects across multiple departments.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Solid experience with Agile and/or Waterfall development methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with .NET, Angular, ERP, CRM, HRIS, or other enterprise systems is preferred.
- Prior experience working closely with software development teams is strongly preferred.
