Summary of Position:
The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the entire flow of materials, information, and products from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and efficient operations. They are responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all activities involved in sourcing, procurement, production, storage, and distribution. Works closely with the procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to review the supply chains for the company’s units, identify long-lead time and single source components, identify potential issues with inventory balances, and work to identify and qualify new suppliers. Potential eventual responsibility for leadership of Inventory Control and Warehouse Coordinator.

Requirements
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support Development/Performance
- o Evaluate and drive manufacturing supplier performance including quality, delivery, cost, etc.
- o Engage in problem solving.
- o Analyze supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement i.e. removing bottlenecks
- o Identify trends and generate reports to inform decision-making
· Supplier technical development
- o VA/VE Design of manufacturing changes and cost savings - alternative suppliers to assure production delivery schedules
- o Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
- o Locate and qualify new suppliers while maintaining the highest quality and lowest cost.
- o Analyzing data to identify bottlenecks, track performance, and generate reports for stakeholders.
· Manufacturing/Engineering Projects
- o Monitor inventory and communicate results with stakeholders.
- o Develop inventory strategy to deliver the right parts at the right time and in the right quantity.
- o Provide recommendations for materials selection
- o Obtain material quotes for manufacture per engineering specifications.
- · Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
- · Provide support to the supply chain to develop and qualify new and existing suppliers.
- · Develop and support new supplier qualification plans.
- · Communicate with new and existing suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- · Develop supplier performance KPIs and provide feedback on results.
- · Provide manufacturing support for project management/engineering programs.
- · Participate in Manufacturing and Engineering drawing review activities as needed, communicate with suppliers as required.
- · Participate in supplier development and Manufacturing planning meetings as needed.
- · Work closely with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams to resolve supplier quality issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- · Ability to review and understand detailed engineering drawings
- · Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge/experience with turbine &/or power generation
- · Knowledge of quality control systems
- · 10+ years working with vendors
- · 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing and quality
- · Trade School Certificate or Bachelors in related field
- · Engineering degree (preferred)

Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office/warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others via the phone and on-site locations. This position will frequently be required to sit, stand, and walk. May require the ability to climb stairs, to kneel and/or crouch to retrieve equipment and other items.
