Position Overview
NovaSource Power Services is seeking a full-time or part-time Marketing & Design Intern to join our dynamic team this summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in visual communication, brand development, and marketing campaign execution within the renewable energy industry. As a Marketing & Design Intern, you will collaborate closely with our marketing and commercial teams to support internal and external initiatives. From designing branded content to assisting with digital and print marketing materials, this role is ideal for someone passionate about visual storytelling and sustainability. This opportunity is open to students currently enrolled in a Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related degree program.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of visual content for digital campaigns, social media, internal communications, and tradeshows.
- Design and develop engaging presentations for internal and external audiences, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and messaging goals.
- Design marketing collateral such as brochures, banners, and email graphics in line with brand guidelines.
- Create and update digital signage content across company locations to support internal communications and marketing initiatives.
- Support website content creation and updates, including visual elements and layout coordination (WordPress experience a plus).
- Support the execution of social media campaigns, including asset creation and post scheduling.
- Contribute to internal brand and marketing projects that enhance employee engagement and external presence.
- Assist in maintaining and organizing the company’s brand asset library.
- Collaborate with internal teams on campaign concepts and layouts.
- Support photo editing and basic video creation or animation projects (optional, based on experience).
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (June – August).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); experience with Canva or Figma is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and WordPress is a strong plus.
- Strong design sense and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with brand guidelines and layout principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work onsite at our Houston, TX office.
