SUMMARY
Terra-Gen is seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Software Implementation Tech to play a critical role in the successful implementation and integration of a new CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) work order module across the entire organization, along with other software. As a Software Implementation Tech, you will be the go-to person for understanding our current work order processes, defining future requirements, and ensuring the CMMS work order system is configured and integrated effectively to meet the diverse needs of our various departments and locations. The candidates deep understanding of maintenance workflows, asset management, and system integration will be crucial in driving adoption, creating smooth multiple departmental transitions within the organization and maximizing the benefits of new software, including the CMMS.
Responsibilities:
- Process Analysis and Documentation: Thoroughly analyze and document existing work order processes across all relevant departments (e.g. Maintenance, Operations, Finance, IT, Warehouse, Engineering, etc.). Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to gather and document detailed business requirements for the CMMS work order system, ensuring it aligns with overall company objectives and specific departmental needs.
- System Configuration Guidance: Provide expert guidance to the implementation team on the configuration of the CMMS work order module, ensuring it meets the documented requirements and best practices.
- Integration Expertise: Understand and articulate the integration requirements between the CMMS work order system and other corporate systems (e.g. ERP, EAM, procurement, scheduling tools). Collaborate with IT and vendor teams to ensure seamless data flow and process integration.
- Data Migration Support: Assist in the planning and execution of data migration activities related to work orders, assets, and related information. Ensure data integrity and accuracy during the transition.
- Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans and scripts to validate the functionality and integration of the CMMS work order system. Identify and help resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Training and Support Material Development: Contribute to the development of training materials and user documentation for the new CMMS work order system.
- User Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on the effective use of the CMMS work order system. Act as a point of escalation for complex work order related issues.
- Change Management Support: Assist in communication and change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of the new CMMS work order system across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with CMMS best practices and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of the work order system post-implementation.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with CMMS or similar enterprise asset management systems, with a strong focus on work order management.
- Deep understanding of maintenance workflows, asset lifecycle management, and related business processes.
- Proven experience in analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and translating them into system configurations.
- Experience with system integration principles and methodologies. Familiarity with common integration methods (e.g. APIs, data connectors).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with data migration and validation.
- Proficiency in using standard office software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific CMMS software (e.g. Maximo, SAP PM, Sales Force, Softwrench, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration).
