Job Summary
As a Sales Operations Analyst, you will assist in optimizing sales operations processes and provide crucial support to the sales team. Your role will include maintaining the CRM system, supporting sales reporting and analytics, and helping to implement and enforce best practices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and contribute to the sales team's overall efficiency and success.
Responsibilities
- CRM Support(e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot):
- Assist with the administration and upkeep of the Salesforce system, ensuring data accuracy and functionality.
- Provide training and support to sales representatives on Salesforce usage, including best practices for data entry and reporting.
- Help monitor and maintain Salesforce data cleanliness and integrity.
- Sales Reporting and Analytics:
- Support the generation of regular sales reports, performance metrics, and dashboards for the sales team and leadership.
- Analyze sales data to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and highlight areas for improvement
- Collaborate with finance, product management and marketing teams to consolidate and analyze sales/revenue data.
- Assist with the calculation, tracking, and verification of quarterly sales commissions, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement
- Gather data and generate reports on market share and overall market performance, offering insights into competitive positioning
- Sales Process Optimization:
- Support efforts to evaluate and optimize sales processes to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Help implement and enforce sales best practices, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Assist in implementing sales tools and technologies to streamline operations
- Forecasting and Planning:
- Work closely with the Sales Operations Manager to develop accurate sales forecasts based on historical data and market trends.
- Support the annual budget process by providing necessary data analysis and reports, collaborating with Sales Operations Manager, finance, and sales teams to ensure accuracy.
- Assist with preparing and supplying content for meetings with the executive team by creating reports, charts, and presentations that highlight key performance metrics, forecasts, and market insights.
- Provide support in analyzing sales performance and offering recommendations to meet revenue targets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with teams across marketing, finance, product management, and customer support to ensure smooth communication and goal alignment.
- Assist in enhancing CRM (Salesforce) capabilities and integrating sales-related technologies in partnership with IT and data teams.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in sales analytics, CRM management (Salesforce or similar), or related roles, preferably in a channel sales environment with a manufacturer.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience in assisting with managing CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and leveraging reporting and analytics tools.
- Data-Driven Approach: Demonstrated ability to utilize data to drive insights, strategy, and process improvements.
- Sales Process Knowledge: Familiarity with sales processes, pipeline management, and sales performance metrics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using CRM software (preference to Salesforce), Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint and other sales and reporting tools.
- Problem Solver: A proactive and innovative problem solver with a positive attitude and the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
