Description
The Solar Install Retention Specialist is responsible for improving customer retention throughout the solar installation process by delivering proactive communication, resolving concerns, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from contract signing to system activation. This role plays a critical part in maintaining customer satisfaction, reducing cancellations, and supporting operational efficiency in the solar project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during the solar installation process, ensuring consistent communication and updates.
- Monitor customer accounts for potential risks of cancellation or dissatisfaction, and take proactive measures to address concerns.
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to resolve scheduling, permitting, and technical issues that could impact customer retention.
- Develop and implement customer engagement strategies to reinforce the value of their solar investment.
- Track and report on retention metrics, customer feedback, and resolution timelines to identify trends and improve processes.
- Escalate critical customer issues to appropriate departments and follow through to resolution.
- Educate customers about installation timelines, product features, warranties, and post-installation services.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance the overall customer experience and increase retention rates.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and other tracking systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of customer service, account management, or retention experience; solar or renewable energy industry experience a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to de-escalate issues and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
